Children growing very fast.

Children are changing and growing very fast every day, and some times we don´t realize how fast they have been changing. Some of them are not the same anymore because their minds and interests have changed a lot, no longer have the same hobbies.  Angel and Moses are a very good example of that.

Marching for Independece Day

Now he is sixteen years old and he is already
thinking about having a girlfriend.

He is a very good student and he also really likes to help with the shores and is very good playing soccer. Now I feel older than before!

He came very little like the others.

Moses is now seventeen years old , he is studying and also  is in a mechanic shop practicing to be a mechanic. He really wants to become an excellent mechanic and to have his own shop.  He loves to play the guitar and also to play soccer.
His favorite soccer team is Barcelona
We thank God they are very healthy boys and very smart. They now are more mature in some areas and I believe God is healing their hearts. To grow is not easy for them because they have to face many difficult situations but God has been faithful with them.

New Life and Peace homes

We are living through very difficult times because it is sad to see that there is no longer the fear of God throughout the world. And that is why we are very grateful for the children and the men that God has given us. Because it is a great responsibility to have a children´s home and rehab centers and take care that they are going to have some people that are going to lead them to Jesus Christ. Is not just a social work is a responsability before the Lord. Paul said in Romans 12: 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God´s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

food for everyone !

In the future some of them are going to make important disisions in their lives, and hopefully they are going to love the Lord and live pleasing to Him in all areas.

God is always merciful and by his grace we can work with the children and men and have hope for all of them.  But weshould never  forget that everything we do is for His Glory.

February.

Somehow February flew by and we are now in March. The children are completely back into their school routine and we have all adjusted to the new schedule for the year. There were a few "I can't sit still in school after my vacation" incidents but the kids have calmed down and things are more or less smooth. :)

Lassi wanted in too.
At the end of January the Morales family (who faithfully comes every visiting Saturday to visit the kids who don't get family visits) wanted to bring a treat and pray over the new transition home for our teens. It was exciting for them as they have watched these teens grow from young children into young men and seen our property change and grow. They brought tamales and hot chocolate and everyone had a good time.

We were all waiting to start and Spats felt like he should be a part of the gathering. :)

Victor, Chici and part of the Morales family.

Eating tamales.    Getting cake.

Edgar brought his girlfriend home for us to meet. ;)

Our children are doing well and we are excited to see what this year has in store for us all!

Transition Home.

We are very happy that the transition home is finished enough for the older teens to move in and they will be moving their things up there soon. It is really a very nice house that started out as a dream but now has become a reality. We can see that the Lord had this in his heart for our teens, and now they are starting a new year with a new house. Their lives are will be a little different because they are going to have new responsibilities, but they will also have new privileges. Life here in Guatemala is getting harder for everybody but we are trusting that the Lord will continue to provide the necessary things for them to have a better future.
